I only have one Belinda Carlisle CD, "Her Greatest Hits". I have been playing the CD-R of this title continuosly in my car for the week and I can't stop. Very well-crafted pop songs from start to finish. I am looking to get her individual albums to go beyond the hits. I can't believe she wasn't a bigger star. I currently have "Live Your Life Be Free" on repeat. Also enjoying "Leave a Light On", which featured a slide guitar solo by some guy named George Harrison from some obscure band called The Beatles.

Any fan of Belinda Carlisle on this forum?

I have the same CD you have, if the case has a real girly design. I like the hits, but haven't bothered to listen to the others. They all take me back to high school, but my favorites are probably Circle in the Sand and Mad About You.

As Ron mentioned, she was tres hot. Actually, she still is. I saw her with the Go-Gos about two years ago, and they performed their debut album in its entirety. Jane is really cute, too, and she is a nerd like we are with her Star Wars tees.

There have long been rumours about Belinda or maybe another one of the Gos being featured on a home movie with a boy groupie. Ah, to have been just a few years older back then. I came close to having back stage passes from another act at the show from a couple of years ago. I wonder if the Gos still do the groupie thing.

I remember she had a Playboy spread about the same time as her solo album was coming out, she looks as great as she sings! I'm going to go have to dig that issue up.

Well, it's not a rumor. The tape does exist. I think they played some of it on the Go-Go's "Behind the Music" It features a completely doped out Belinda ranting about masturbation and I think they have one of their roadies or male groupies jerking off on camera. But that's all I ever saw.

Not much of a listener of her music, but I used to think she was hot. I do remember her unfortunately putting on some significant weight at some point though. Never saw the Playboy spread, but I'm now curious. If anyone has any links to where you could find it, PM me.

Oh, and she has a great voice (though I was indifferent to most of her music).

I saw that episode of "Behind the Music" as well. Basically, the public image of the Go Go's was completely opposite of reality. For the girls of the Go Go's, it was sex (with both genders according to Belinda), drugs and rock 'n roll as well.

Just in case anyone wants to know, the Go Go's are currently on tour and they will be playing the Superdome tomorrow in New Orleans.
