What did you use to extract the 24/96 audio?

Aaron, try using DVD Audio Extractor. It seems to be able to extract 24/96 files. It is fully functional for 30 days. It's much easier than the method I've been using.

Re: Rush: "Snakes and Arrows" discussion

Finally watched the docu; good but I wish it was longer/covered the development/production of all the songs on the album.

Although it may have been edited to shine maximum positive light on Neil, I was impressed with the grace with which he responded to Nick when he basically said that the tracks for "The Way the Wind Blows" could be better. After Neil had been prepping the drum tracks for five weeks and recording them for three hours, he then went back behind the kit and came up with new tracks for all four verses.

Of course we all know Neil is no Lars Ulrich but, if you've seen Some Kind Of Monster, you know Lars could never respond to criticism with that kind of aplomb.

From the More Old News File: there's a feedback link on the MVI that takes you here: Rush MVI Survey Sweepstakes. I took the opportunity in the comments section to (hopelessly?) express my greater interest in lossless high rez surround than any of this ringtone and IM icon nonsense that one could otherwise get online.

Just a bunch of photos I took of Rush's "Snakes and Arrows" tour when they made a stop in Atlanta (Verizon Amphitheater).

I have no idea why a guy in a chicken suit was on stage.

Photos of the crowd, plus the new venue (north of Atlanta, GA). It was an overcast evening (rain was pouring the hour before the concert was to start):

Thanks for the pics Patrick...good ones.

In case anyone missed it, Rush was on the Colbert Report recently. You can view the entire episode here:

There is also footage of them backstage playing Rock Band doing their own 'Tom Sawyer' (and sucking at it)...

I just wish they'd used an actual epic-length song for the gag about epic-length songs! (Which, incidentally, carried over into the opening of the following episode.)

RUSH.com SNAKES & ARROWS LIVE DVD / BD release

Rush to Debut First Blu-ray with 'Snakes & Arrows Live' | High-Def Digest

Hopefully we'll get clarity soon on the audio (Rush.com says "Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound or PCM Stereo" and HDD says "English PCM 5.1 Surround and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround").
