The Strat Pack - 50 Years of the Fender Stratocaster® on HDNet
FYI for HDNet subscribers.....
I caught most of this last night. Some pretty interesting performances, but a few let downs as well. I was jazzed that Brian May was on the bill, but not so jazzed that his role was to play "All Right Now" with Paul Rogers. When I tuned in, there was an absolutely smokin' version of Red House, which I think was Gary Moore; looking forward to seeing the whole performance. Joe Walsh played a pretty good set as well.
The following was cribbed from the HDNet web site:
Filmed in 2004 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster® Guitar, the Strat Pack concert is a music lovers dream. The set features some of the world's most renowned axemen, including Joe Walsh (Eagles), Brian May (Queen), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Hank Marvin (The Shadows), Ron Wood (The Rolling Stones), Gary Moore, Mike Rutherford (Genesis / Mike + The Mechanics) and many more!
It will be on a few more times this week.
