Mp3 editor

I'm not sure if this is the right area so if I am wrong, please move it.

I'm looking for some kind of program to edit MP3s... if one exists. I have a long single file MP3 that I want to chop into tracks basically. Is there a program I can get that does that?

I've used Audacity for chopping up WAV files. I believe it also does other formats.
