Case says SACD, but redbook CD inside

I just got an order from BMG for the Carpenters, Singles SACD. The case and packaging says SACD, but inside is just a regular redbook CD. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? Is going to be nightmare to get BMG to replace the wrong disc?

Thanks for the link. I had forgotten that thread at stevehoffam.tv. I just hope I can get the correct version now from BMG. Does anyone have experience with their customer service department?

I got the same deal from yourmusic.com.

Apparently, they have finally realized their stock of Carpenter's SACDs are defective and have removed them from the web site. Here's the email they sent me.

Thank you for contacting us about your yourmusic.com order number
XXXXXXXX.

We are sending a postage-paid label via postal mail to assist you with
the return of The Carpenters: Singles 1969 - 1981 (SACD Hybrid). Please
repackage the selection and send it back to us when you receive the
label.

To ensure the prompt processing of your return, please be sure to
include a note providing a brief description of the problem along with
your complete name and address and your original order number (as listed
above).

This selection is not currently available for replacement. Once we
receive the return, your credit card will be refunded.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Tom

Thanks for the info Tom. Since yourmusic.com is part of BMG, I assume I will be getting a similar email from them. That really sucks. I was really looking forward to this SACD and I had taken advantage of a $4.99 per disc sale.
