I was just reading the thread where someone was wondering how we find the songs we like, and I thought it would be a pretty good idea for us to list some new or good songs that we listen to. This would be a great opportunity to broaden our scope of songs and artists and allow us a chance to see what music you like.

So here are some of my recommendations:

Badly Drawn Boy - Hour of Bewilderbeast (album)
John Mayer - Room for Squares (album)
Scapegoat Wax - Okeeblow (album)
OAR(of a revolution) - That was a crazy game of poker (song)
The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist (song)
Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American (album)
Ben Folds - entire new album, especially the Ascent of Stan
The KGB - Free Maryjane and Lover Undercover (songs)
Red House Painters - all songs
Sigur Ros - Svefn-g-englar (song) (trance type music)
Fragma - Toca's Miracle (song) (trance type music)

I'll list more whenever I hear some good ones! Hope you do the same!

God bless!

Hate Eternal - Conquering the Throne (One of the, if not THE, best death metal albums ever. I swear the drummer has 8 arms and 8 feet. It's a side project of somebody from Morbid Angel)

Lennon - Just released her first album. Kinda hard rock/metalish. She's also really hot.

She calls herself "Lennon?" Well I'm just going to start calling myself "Presley" and see if it gets ME any extra attention.

I can't stop listening to "Solitary Shell" from Dream Theater's new album.

Speaking of White Stripes, I just saw the "LEGO" Video (forget the name of the song, very short, occasional radio play). Very bizzare, but cool video, that looks like claymation with legos. OK, sorry, that has nothing to do with the topic....

So Jasen, how is that album?

I recommend:
Orbital - In Sides (album, trance)
Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust (album, techno)
BT - Rare & Remixed, IMA (albums, techno/trance/dance)
Fiona Apple - Tidal (album)
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes, Under the Pink (albums)
3 Doors Down - The Better Life (album, basic alternative rock)
Tool - any album
Nine Inch Nails - any album (my favorite is still Pretty Hate Machine)

These are all metal/hard rock

From Autumn to Ashes - "Short Stories with Tragic Endings"
From Autumn to Ashes - "Chloroform Reflection"

Among Thieves - every song is good but they're unsigned so they only have a demo cd for sale (www.amongthievesmusic.com)

40 Below Summer - Invitation to the Dance cd.

Breaking Pangaea - "Wedding Dress"

Keepsake - "Girls Don't Know"

umm also keith caputo or life of agony are good; so is onesidezero.

Still, if my name was Presley Hamm, I wouldn't call myself "Presley." Actually, that's the kind of name that would get you beat up at school. And it sounds a lot like "pressed ham," if you know what I'm saying.
