Music Direct and Acoustic Sounds, both notes of a particular release being a MC or not. They also list that on their upcoming release lists. They're both on the web.

This site has current and links to upcoming MC SACDs at the bottom: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homep...a/msacdnow.htm

This one has current SACDs (MC and Stereo) and coming soon:

http://www.sa-cd.net/home

Besides what Lewis noted, sites like www.elusivedisc.com also have what is coming soon for sale.

www.highfidelityreview.com is good for info on both formats.

This site has good info too:

http://www.quadraphonicquad.com/ and links to stuff like: the above sites and http://www.greatgig.com/quad/dvd-a-list.html which is about a yr. and a half out of date on DVD-A releases.

Then there is this for DVD-A: http://www.dvd-audio.org/

and this site has some good info too:

http://www.dvd-a.dk/start.php?Lang=1

Dale, for some of the reasons you noted, I prefer 2-channel on most things. Some of those mixes collapse the sound stage or add ping-pong like effects to the rears.

Phil- Great post!

If it's not worth waiting until the last minute to do, then it's not worth doing.
