Problems with Céline Dion, A New Day Live in Las Vegas CD

Hi folks

My wife has just bought the above and discovered that it will not play on our SACD player, model Sony SCD E670. fortunately it will play on our LD player and DVD player, all other discs are fine.

Has anybody else experienced this? I suspect it is a coding problem, possibly to do with Copy Protection, but any feedback would be appreciated.

Many thanks

The problem is now solved,

The SCD XE-670 player is, as you are no doubt aware, text enabled. Well, I put the disc back into the player and fired it up. It took a full minute and a half but it did finish loading and then played normally

The problem seems to be that this disc has text that is more "wordy" than usual.

The answer to avoid the long bootup? Turn off the text before loading the disc!!

Doh!!

I got this disc for my wife. Played on all of our home players, but not on her boom box at work. For kicks, swapped and got another copy. Same-o. So all I did was rip and burn her a CD-R copy and it worked fine. Strange.

If it's not worth waiting until the last minute to do, then it's not worth doing.

I got it on the same trip that I got ... Velvet Revolver ... for myself.

A CD/DVD lasts longer than flowers.
