Online electronic music purchasing...where to go?

I'm trying to compile the songs used in a movie soundtrack, which has no soundtrack album. The movie is "Big Eden", and it uses a lot of classic country songs. I don't own much of this stuff, and what I own is not featured in the movie.

So, my options being either buy individual CDs and spend some $$ on putting this together, or find an alternative, I am thinking about trying some online services. $1 a song is cheap compared to what I would have to spend otherwise, but i don't know where to go for these selections.

Not only do I need the songs, but I want a non-proprietary format that will let me make a CD from my downloads, or at least will let me make a CD from a mix of proprietary downloads and other, common formats.

Where do I start for this?

Thanks,

Buzz

Try Walmart.com's music download service. I have not used it, and am not familiar with what formats/restrictions it has, but I do remember hearing that they have a country music selection that's better than iTunes/Napster/etc.
