There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

They stopped selling on-line recently. Virtually everything is 50% off in the few remaining stores.

I see that they are announcing the closure of yet another location, Langford, which only opened a year ago. This once proud franchise is now down to 4 stores from a peak of 33.
The bell is tolling louder every day........

Picked up a used, 2-disc Hybrid SACD of Lara St John's performance of Bach's Six Sonatas & Partitas for Violin Solo on Ancalagon label:

Amazon.com: Bach: The Six Sonatas & Partitas for Violin Solo [Hybrid SACD]: Lara St. John, Bach: Music

Finally getting around to giving this masterpiece series of Bach's another try...

Found a copy of Billy Joel's The Stranger (SACD MCH but not hybrid).

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes time, and it annoys the pig.

Got in Billy Joel's Innocent Man which is excellent as is CCR's Green River.

Re: What Hirez Discs Have You Purchased Recently?

Just received the two Zazie SACDs from Amazon UK, 'Zen' and 'Rodeo'.
You have to be careful with Rodeo because there are 3 or 4 listed at Amazon UK. None of them mention SACD. It's the one with the DVD. Or use the Amazon UK link at SA-CD.net

Haven't listened yet but the packaging on Rodeo is cool. It's a digipak () but still has rounded corners like a super jewel box.
Nice touch, first time I've seen this detail.
