Re: What Hirez Discs Have You Purchased Recently?
Acoustic Sounds has just announced 25 Blue Note Sack-Dees that are mastered by Steve Hoffman & Kevin Grey....at $30 a pop. I might pick up a few. I sure don't like their prices!
Rachael, the big disc cat! I used to be looking for Hi-Vision Laserdiscs & D-Theater tapes, now I'm looking for HD-DVD's and Blu-rays.
I survived the AFI top 100 Film Challenge! I've seen them all.

I've been doing lots of projects around the house (incl. losing 346 lbs. - gave away my old CRT in the secondary basement system and have done some minor construction for a proj.) and have not had tons of time to listen. I listened to about a cut and a half of each and it sounded damn good to me. I probably won't get to listen to too many things (I have a huge backlog of stuff) for a few days. I also listened to a cut from the AP album of Nancy Bryan and that sounded excellent.

You and me both.
I've got discs whose age can be measured in years, not months, that I haven't played yet.
Ridiculous, isn't it ?

Wow - I don't feel too bad perhaps having a dozen recent purchases sitting there. Of course I still have about 25 LDs I bought about 7 years back at an estate sale I have not watched.

Guilty of this as well, I'm afraid. It's reached a point that I'm sometimes hesitant about buying something for fear of getting a duplicate (and that goes for DVDs, CDs and books as well as hi-res audio).

Well share the secret about living right I have about 250 and only have about 9 I haven't gotten to listen to, but I've just gotten them in the past week. Diet? Exercise (like getting up and putting in another SACD)?

I have a 200 disc changer in my backback, a solar panel hat to power it and headphones. Now, I can listen to Sack-Dee's all day, every day. So, it's that and I have much too much free time on my hands.

Re: What Hirez Discs Have You Purchased Recently?
2 kids and teaching 9 college courses a year = not enough time to listen to/watch everything I own. But as the kids get older, I'll have more free time AND a stack of things to enjoy.
