Derek and the Dominos--Layla (SACD). Was stunned to see it (along with half a dozen other hi-res titles) on the shelf at Future Shop in downtown Montreal.

Re: What Hirez Discs Have You Purchased Recently?

There seems to be a bunch of HiRes stuff appearing out of nowhere. I saw a copy of Alison Krauss & Union Station Live SACD was week at my local BB.

I've found a fair bit at that BB in the past few months. I wonder where it's coming from ?

I saw the Alison Krauss + Union Station's New Favorite and T.Rex The Slider on SACD today at the Vancouver BB.
Hadn't seen either title in ages.

Just wish I could find the Alison Krauss Live set at a reasonable price.

The latest Telarc e-newsletter mentioned an upcoming September SACD release of "Ray Charles: Ray Sings, Basie Swings".

Interested?

Paul Oakenfold A VOYAGE INTO TRANCE CD/DVD combo. It's decent. I'd like to see more in this genre.

Re: What Hirez Discs Have You Purchased Recently?

Well, I guess I`m considered a baby boomer at my age, not really sure, but here it is. Just picked up a SACD/Hybrid that I always wanted. Mobile Fidelity`s with their GAIN 2 recording technology, the self entitled 2nd album - "Blood Sweat and Tears." With the classic songs "Spinning Wheel" And When I Die' and of course, "You Make Me So Very Happy', I was like a little kid again. Being I was young when this album originally came out.
And, almost forgot how good there horn section.

Clean and articulate recording. I would be interesting (though he`s not into this) to see what Dr. Aix at AIX Records could do with this material.
