vynal vs dvda/sacd and other q/a

ok does the quility of dvda/sacd match up to the vynals we all no the tape and regular cds dont. also im thinking about buying my self a record player. i have been thinking of buying vynals for a while just havnt gotten to it. i know nothing about vynals. i have a couple of used record stores around town. should i buy them used or new. and can i get a good record player for under 100 canadian thanks dave
