Christopher!!!!! I found you a Van da Man cover. White Animals' Brown-Eyed Girl. I had it on vinyl and noticed when I was digitizing it recently.

Hey Rachel,

I haven't read all your posts, but I thought I'd recommend a couple covers I have been listening to lately.

Everly Brothers - Lucille
Spooky Tooth - I Am the Walrus
James Gang - Rock & Roll Woman
Fever Tree - Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out
Firehose - The Red & the Black
Love Battery - Mr. Soul
Poco - Kind Woman
CHOP (Mike Watt) - She's As Beautiful As A Foot

Larry, I know I have Kind Woman, I wasn't realizing it was a cover, err, maybe it's an old Buffalo Springfield tune...I think that's it?

I might have Rock And Roll Woman by the James Gang. I vaguely remember it now that you mention it. I know I used to have it. I hope I stille do because I always liked that song alot.

I haven't heard CHOP. That's my fav Blue Oyster Cult song. I saw BOC when they first came out, before they were well-known, and they played their whole first album except for my favourite Foot song and Born To Be Wild they did four times, twice as a second encore. I bet I'd like it CHOP, maybe someday?

I have a Fever Tree vinyl, I don't recall it having Insect material. I'll look...it's just the one. I'm not much of an Everly fan but I might like that song because I like the song. I haven't conciously heard Love Battery but I know they've been played on the College Radio, WUTK, I listen to in the car. Atleast I have Rush with Mr. Soul so far.

If you saw my Beatles Covers thread some time back, well, that Spooky Tooth, I like it way better than the original. That's heretic talk with some folks 'round here. I'm a hereitic though, I like Marvin Gaye singing Yesterday way better than Paul and I'll take Eddie Hazel with the Brides Of Funkenstein's I Want You (she weighs 300 kg) over the sensational original. I've had mobs with torches and pitchforks come for me for uttering these opines before but I escaped in a subroutine out the back. The Spanish Inquisition has it in for me too. ...yeah, I used Walrus atleast twice so far. One one of the first couple of discs has Spooky Tooth's and then Rush's...maybe another...?

I have another Minidisc under construction and more than half full. I have a Pure Prarie League, That'll Be The Day, that would go nicely back to back with Poco. I may finish the next one within the week? I may go work on it whilst it's fresh on my mind??? ...here in a while... Thanks for the suggests!

I just finished Plastic Covered, keep in mind I'm desperate for names after so many discs.

1. The Ventures - Jumpin' Jack Flash
2. Rod Stewart - Street Fighting Man
3. Alex Harvey - Birthday
4. Jimi Hendrix Experience - Hound Dog
5. George Thorogood & the Destroyers - Gone Dead Train
6. Pure Pairie League - That'll Be The Day
7. Poco - Kind Woman
8. John Hammond - Just Your Fool
9. The Meters - Trick Bag
10. The Blasters - Walkin' with Mr. Lee
11. Faces - Jealous Guy
12. Alex Harvey - St. James Infirmary
13. White Animals - Brown Eyed Girl
14. The Ventures - Sunshine Of Your Love
15. George Thorogood & The Destroyers - Get A Haircut
16. Jimi Hendrix Experience - Johnny B. Goode
17. Rod Stewart - Cut Across Shorty
18. Red Hot Chili Peppers - I Found Out
19. George Clinton - Mind Games

This one came out shorter. I didn't realize I'd used a 74-minute MD till I was almost done. I didn't know I had any left....

Larry, I have two James Gang albums but neither has Rock And Roll Woman...I know I used to have whichever one has that song. I'll have t go look at the all-music guide to we-member. I can't find my Fever Tree vinyl just yet but it'll turn up. I'm on the case and I had it out fairly recently and didn't put it back in it's special place. I've dug up some other stuff for now and aqquired the new G3 Live In Tokyo which helped finish off my latest MD, CONVIENTLY COVERED:

1. Brian Setzer Orchestra - The House Is Rockin'
2. Michael Hill's Blues Mob - Sunshine Of Your Love / Crossroads
3. The Ventures - Light My Fire
4. Terry Evans - Nothing Wrong With Texas (that leaving won't fix)
5. Albert King - High Cost of Loving
6. G3 - Foxey Lady
7. David Bowie - Kingdom Come
8. Johnny Winter - From A Buick Six
9. Creedence Clearwater Revival - My Baby Left Me
10. Elton John - Travelin' Band
11. Buddy Miles - Memphis Train
12. Fleetwood Mac - For Your Love
13. G3 - Smoke On The Water
14. Rush - The Seeker
15. Johnny Winter - Let It Bleed
16. The Ventures - Eight Miles High
17. Sea Level - Shake A Leg
18. Brian Setzer Orchestra - Town Without Pity

I'll set aside an MD and start another one....
