For those Green Day fans, you'll want to know that the remastered CD has extra multimedia content and the same tracks from the previous cd.

To me, this is Green Day's best. The first singles, which are on this CD are great. I can see why they became popular. I still have the original green pressings of their records.

I haven't followed them thorugh the years but I did pick up Superhits and enjoyed it. I still never cared for Longview for all the reasons that made it popular, I suppose. I knew when Dookie first came out that Longview would be their first single. It has that almost KISS-like guitar part. It was just perfect to ease the masses into their sound.

*edited because I remembered that the Skene single was on the second album, not the first one.

How is the sound on this remastered release? I am a pretty big Green Day fan, and would consider checking this release out.

Are we talking about Dookie or their very first album?

The very first album 39/Smooth and the first few singles. The remix seems to have made the snare louder in most of the songs, which I like. If you are a big fan it's worth the upgrade.

I ordered it from Lookout Records and it came with a shirt for a total of $17 or something like that.
