What language is that phrase in the song that goes:
Jai guru deva om
and what does it translate to?
Is that the same language John Lennon uses on #9 Dream?

There is a noise on the song Meat City if you play backwards, he clearly says, "fuck a pig".
I ruined more turntables that way...

Across the Universe is one of my absolute favorite Beatles songs. Perhaps my favorite. It's a song for the ages.

I don't care if it's considered blasphemous, I prefer Fiona Apple's version best.

I don't know if I'd say I like it BEST, but I am fond of Bowie's version. Hey, Lennon's on it too - that must mean he endorsed it, right?

I always thought it was just good sounding nonsense words along the lines of "whap-ba-ba-lu-bap a-whap-bam-boom".

I like the version The Flower Kings do. They slow it down a bit. It always felt like The Beatles version is trying to rush through the song.

The actual, original, Little Richard phrase was, "Wop-bobba-lu-bop-a-good-God-Damn."
