Across the Universe is one of my absolute favorite Beatles songs. Perhaps my favorite. It's a song for the ages.

I always thought it was just good sounding nonsense words along the lines of "whap-ba-ba-lu-bap a-whap-bam-boom".

I like the version The Flower Kings do. They slow it down a bit. It always felt like The Beatles version is trying to rush through the song.
