Nellie Mckay
Has anyone picked up this CD? This is easily in the top three of this years releases so far. I heard her perform on WFUV-FM here is NYC and had to find more. You can hear a performance from last year by going to wfuv.org and selecting the archive section. This girl is really terrific, and she is only 19. As one of the critics has noted, she draws comparisons to two of pop culture's polar opposites, Doris Day and Eminem. To top it off Columbia Records released her debut as a double disc package.
