More Great Fantasy Jazz Super Audio Shipping!

http://www.highfidelityreview.com/ne...umber=11231071

Check out the 10 disc deal from Acoustic Sounds. I'm seriously considering this, since I have enjoyed my four Fantasy jazz titles.

I'm familiar with most of this music and it's all good. Though I've never heard Leo Kottke, I've read only good things.

And Shaft!

I totally will order this when I have the cash.

Michael,

Congrats! That's a good deal for $165.

Mike,

I agree: these are strong titles. The earlier Fantasy titles I bought have good sonics.

I was thinking about this deal too, but unfortunately, I just bought the Art Pepper disc (should be on its way) and I'm not so sure about the Eric Dolphy stuff...it's pretty "out there"!

I'm waiting to see how they're priced or if they even get them at Busted Buy.

Mike B., Leo K. is a bottleneck slide player and a good one. His most commercial album is ICE WATER (1974). He used to sing with his very deep voice back then. He sounded real good doing Tom T. Hall's PAMELA BROWN. It was an F.M. hit, I suppose. His original song TILT BILLINGS AND THE STUDENT PRINCE, a song about a magical but now broken guitar is worth the price of the album, ICE WATER, IMO. I wish he'd sing again, even if it was only a little. I haven't heard the Fantasy album, BTW. I'll proably get it...

Rachael, the big disc cat! I used to be looking for Hi-Vision Laserdiscs & D-Theater tapes, now I'm looking for HD-DVD's and Blu-rays.

I survived the AFI top 100 Film Challenge! I've seen them all.
