Rolling Stones SACDs on sale at Tower Records
According to MusicTap, "Tower Records has the entire batch of Stones SACD titles from Abkco Records available for only $9.99. Additionally, those real expensive 'best of' titles are only a mere $19.99. This is only for a short time (Feb 9) so rush out and pick 'em up."

What are some of the better Stones ABKCO remastered albums, as I'm not up on the Stones as much as I'd like? I might just take them up on this sale. Unless, of course, this heavily discounted sale means ABKCO will now re-release them in multichannel...

I would probably start with Hot Rocks Vol. 1. It covers most of their early standards. As far as stand alone albums I usually recommend starting with Begger's Banquet,Let It Bleed, and Aftermath. I have all of the above albums on SACD and the sonics are about as good as you can get for albums that old.

It's all a matter of opinion but "Let it Bleed" and "Beggar's Banquet" would probably be on top of most fans' list. The 2 "Hot Rocks" volumes would also be worthwhile unless you plan on getting all of their non-compilation albums.

This is a good deal but I wouldn't read anything into it. Circuit City and Deep Discount CD have had similar sales in the past.

Since i already bought Let It Bleed, I am going to pick up:
Hot Rocks 1
Hot Rocks 2
Aftermath
Beggar's Banquet
Their Satanic Majesties Request
Now it's time for Sticky Fingers, Some Girls, and Exile on Main Street to be released

Good choices Chung. Be aware that there are 2 versions of Aftermath: the US and the UK versions. I'd recommend the UK version, especially if you're getting Hot Rocks.

I'll second the UK version on Aftermath.
I'll also second Hot Rocks 1 and 2 and Beggars Banquet. Superb.

I'll third it...
I believe that's the only disc where a stereo mix of Mother's Little Helper can be found... the mix on Hot Rocks is mono.
Aftermath is loaded in any event.
