Just heard a song tonight called "South Philly Groove" by the Charles Earland Tribute Band. Check out song samples on Amazon.

Rachael, the big disc cat! I used to be looking for Hi-Vision Laserdiscs & D-Theater tapes, now I'm looking for HD-DVD's and Blu-rays.

I survived the AFI top 100 Film Challenge! I've seen them all.

I'm not sure if "song" necessarily means vocal, but MANHATTAN TRANSFER did lots of uptempo materiel that qualifies

The ultimate classic fast jazz tune is Salt Peanuts.

Heck, any of Parker's classic material- Koko, Ornithology, Scrapple from the Apple, etc.

Pretty much anything that isn't a ballad would answer your question.

upbeat, fast tempo, jazz...two words, Be-Bop!
check out Bird (Charlie Parker), Dizzy Gillespie, early Coltrane,Oscar Peterson and Thelonius Monk to name a few.

"Oh Mikey do you think I even know what the hell they are talking about half the time? I dont know whether they are talking about how hard it is to be adopted or how their father never shows them love. All I do man, is I wrinkle my eyebrows, stare at their lips and somehow I turn out to be some big sweetie." - Trent Walker (Swingers - 1996)
