No one has mentioned it here yet, but Living Color has gotten back together. Last night, I saw that the new album is out, so I picked it up.

After one listen, I gotta say that I'm mildly disappointed. It seems to be lacking in energy for the most part, and Corey Glover is doing odd things with his voice. There is also a bit of electronica that feels a bit out of place. There is also a cover of "Back In Black" that is all wrong for Corey's voice.

I'll need more time with it to get a proper opinion of it, but I can't say I was too impressed by it.

The breadth of customer comments on Amazon is noteworthy: a lot of "disappointed" people, but there are many who are lovin' the album also.

Also interesting is that there's a DVD-Audio release of the album.

I will have to check this one out.

I had pretty much forgotten about thse guys, but heard Cult of Personality on XM and thought it sounded pretty good not having heard it for years.

I ripped Vivid to my iPod and got to listen to it end to end on a recent plane trip, and it has held up very, very well.

Let me/us know your Collideoscope comments if you check it out, especially the DVD-A. The Audio Revolution reviewer didn't care for the m.c. mix, but I wasn't impressed with the review overall.
