anyone play their sacd or dvd-a on the pioneer dv-563a player?

how does the sound compare to other more expensive players?

what is better, sacd or dvd-a?

p.s i don't have the 563a but a prior version 655a - sacd and dvda sound equally good. there's a sacd camp and a dvda camp and also a stereo camp and a multichannel camp they all have merits (and fans.. staunch supporters.. believers).

Since you have a universal player, you should just play the music you like whichever format it happens to be on. Since it's a 563a it's not likely to be reference quality anyways, so why worry - just enjoy the music!

Just bought the player... love it... I think DSOTM sounds noticably clearer...
