BMG to offer Super Audio discs in US!

This is one of the few remaining big names to jump in so we should see some deeper title selection soon.

A big step forward for Super Audio.

Mike,

I just picked up some Fantasy titles over the weekend but have not had a chance to listen I've been so busy.

I will post some capsule reviews soon.

I got them all and listened to all except Monk & 'Trane, which I hope to do tonight.

A big step forward for Super Audio.

You are bit more optimistic than I (or anyone else in the world) about this being a big step forward for Super Audio and a sign of deeper title selection on the way. For some reason I have a feeling Bruckner's 9th Symphony is not going to be flying off the shelves at a record pace. That being said....

It is good to see BMG testing the Super Audio waters here in the states. Along with the selection of actual mainstream artists they have scheduled for DVD-A, they look to be testing the Hi-res waters a bit more.

So there's the chance of both "Air Supply: The Definitive Collection" and "Kenny G Live" being released on SACD domestically?

Just in case someone doesn't know what I am talking about, see this.

Some Elvis SACDs would be cool.

Have you ever heard Bruckner's 9th? I am indeed in 'can't wait' mode. It is sublime.

BMG Super Audio CD Club...hmnnn, I'd like the sound of that.

Rachael, the big disc cat! I used to be looking for Hi-Vision Laserdiscs & D-Theater tapes, now I'm looking for HD-DVD's and Blu-rays.

I survived the AFI top 100 Film Challenge! I've seen them all.

Probably true. BMG is a total disaster when it comes to their classical music division. Before they work on SACD, I would much rather see them open up their vaults. It's amazing that they have yet to release Ormandy's premier recordings of Shostakovich's 13th and 14th symphonies (actually they are making their CD debut in Japan this winter).

Well - There it is.
