Japan Remmasters
A friend wrote me to let me know that Virgin is remastering the last few Japan recordings. Oil on Canvas, Gentlemen Take Polaroids and Tin Drum saw the band refining their original glam rock into art. This band never got a chance in the US (I always use the fact that Americans hear but they don't listen). I pullled out Tin Drum and twenty years later it still knocked me over. Each member has had a stunning solo career in their own right. Anyone here still follow their musical experiments. I can't wait till the release in September, I only hope SACD versions will be available.
