This might have been done before, and it's sort of being done in the Polls section, but I thought it would be cool if we just listed our All-Star band (for whatever type of music you are into). (Good idea Tim, to include band names)

Chris

Vocals: Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden)
Guitar Guitar: David Gilmour (Pink Floyd)
Organ: Rick Wakeman (Yes)
Bass: John Entwistle (The Who)
Drums: Neil Peart (Rush)
Songwriter: Keith Richards (The Stones)

Ehh... there's more to a great band than simply ("Kickass Guitarist A" + "Awesome Drummer B" + "Bitchin Singer C"). There's no reason to believe that Neil Peart and John Entwistle (TOTALLY different styles) would gel together, or David Gilmour and Rick Wakeman.

Love this thread.

Lead guitarist: Jimi Hendrix
Rhythm Guitarist: Arthur Lee (Love)
Bass Guitarist: John Entwistle
Keyboards: Gregg Allman
Drums: Keith Moon
Vocalist (male) : Van Morrison
Vocalist (female) : Janis Joplin

And, yes, over half my choices are dead, but they're the ones I enjoy most. I just wonder how they'd all sound together.

I'll stick to people who are alive.

Vocals: Sebastian Bach (Skid Row)
Guitar: Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society / Ozzy)
Guitar: Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains)
Bass: Robert Trujillo (Metallica / Ozzy / BLS)
Drums: Samantha Maloney (Hole / Motley Crue)

Now they would put on one hell of a rock show!!!

Nice picks, Trevor!! You must be a SDMF! Only a BLS fan would know that.

I'll take your picks, swap Cantrell for either Diamond Darrell (Pantera) or Cavelera (Soulfy).

Then swap Samantha out for Tommy Lee (Motley Crue) or Scott Rockenfield (Queenryche).

Of course I'm listening to Black Label Society-Alcohol Fueled Brewtality at the moment so I'm feeling kind of metalish.

Otherwise,

Vocals: Brian Johnson (AC/DC) or John Fogerty (CCR)
Guitar 1: Jimmy Page (Zep)
Guitar 2: Zack Wylde (Man is just flat-out mean on guitar)
Bass: Billy Sheehan (General badass on bass)
Drums: Neil Peart (Rush)
