Apple to buy Universal Music?

I'm taking this with a grain of salt. I still remember all the talk of Disney buying Apple, Apple buying Sun, Apple buying Palm, etc. this does seem to fit into Apple's recent foray into downloadable music, though.

According to the article, Universal Music controls one quarter of worldwide CD sales.

I was about to append a link to this article to your old Apple music download service thread. If this comes to pass, I hope Steve Jobs is a fan of SACD. Otherwise...

Apple rumors are some of the most fun on the Internet. I read this one with my morning news (does anyone buy newspapers anymore? ). It shocked me a bit more than other recent Apple rumors. This one just seems far fetched.
