I just saw it and it is spectacular.
I found no cringe inducing scenes, and there is one surprise in there that totally astounded me. I was not expecting this little piece of information. I won't spoil it for anyone. But when you see it, you will know what I am referring to.
And those clones make me nervous.

This could top ANH in my books, though ESB may be out of reach forever. It certainly beats ROTJ and TPM hands down
I LOVE YODA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm, there's a golden cloud, and the sweet silver song of a lark,
Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams may be tossed and blown,
Walk on, Walk on, with hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone,
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!

Hayden nails it IMO as well - I have no worries at all now for Episode III

To those who were kind enough to ask about my review for AOTC, it's now up in the Review thread.
I'm glad to see that the early reviews by our HTF SW faithful (Dan, Simon, etc.) have been promising. I sincerely hope everyone has as good a time with this movie as I did.
I can't wait to see what the opinions are of those going to see it stateside in a few hours. Stop in the chatroom and share your thoughts!

I am simply overwhelmed at the moment to be able to write any coherent review of a film I have been waiting 3 years to see. The way the Republic's downfall is plotted - genius. Palpatine - you can tell he knows everyone and exactly how to play them. Anakin - his scenes with Padme are perfect IMO, with one exception, and his discussions/arguments with Obi Wan were especially interesting knowing whats to come - he will be perfect for Episode III ; Christopher Lee - need I say more ; Yoda - RULES!!!!; Padme - that black leather outfit
Hell I loved Jar Jar in this films, and now that we have had 3 years to get used to him being in the Star Wars universe, his presence in the film feels "right". That said I never really minded him.

Apparently, there was a small riot in a theater in Scotland because the staff never checked the reels, and they were out of order. The police had to be called. The press also came to get interviews with pissed off Star Wars fans.

At this very moment here in Atlanta there are 7 theaters that are running a 12.01 showing tonight. I just noticed this at my local theater site(Regal24) 1 show only tonight. 1 theater is showing all through the AM hours - 2,4,6,AM etc. If I were a real nightowl, I think the 4AM would be cool.
Wonder if this is the same across the states?
