If it distracts him from I Am Legend, I'm all for it. I do feel for sorry for all the TCM fans, though...

To quote Luke:
"No. It's not true. That's impossible!"
If he's funding it, fine I'll bite. But if he gets his filthy paws on it to direct or produce... I will find him and... "the saw is family."

Ewwwwwwww...
(where's that puking smiley when you really need it.)
((Although honesty compells me to say that after the TCM 4, you really can't get much worse. But Bay would probably find a way...))

I can't get the smiley to puke, so I guess you'll just have to smell my post for that authentic puke smell.

Ben Affleck must be in this picture, and the much-ballyhooed cameo will be Billy Bob himself as the younger illegitimate cousin of Leatherface.
A group of cigar chomping gas station attendants (led by Nicholas Cage) infiltrate the bayou to rid our country of this menace once and for all. One scene features a wild chase on riverboats (complete with shaky camera) and culminates in one of the bad guys (yes there's more than one) being eaten by a croc.
I can already see Aerosmith's new video for the MB-produced TCM. They're standing in a swamp, waving chainsaws and american flags and singing yet another variation on the same guitar/vocal line they've been milking for the past 10 years.

I said Bay would find a way to make something worse than TCM4, but I think Joseph has already hit on it.
I think I'm just going to go lie down and whimper for a while. Maybe a month or two, with the covers pulled over my head.

As much as I hate Michael bay I find it commendable that he wants to start a low buget production company... But a remake of a classic film is not the way the get started. I would sugest making an original film but then agian I guess that Bay has never had an original thought in his life.
I have nothing agianst the idea of remakes, but I think they are better suited to films that had a great idea yet for some reason just did not work out all that well.

At first I was bothered, but then I said "who cares". The original is so dominating that Bay couldn't come close to tainting its legacy. All he WILL do is further legitimize the view that he is an inadequate filmmaker.
Hey, redo Casablanca next.
PS - Couldn't Aerosmith just reuse "Crying" for this film, seems like it would fit. Oh, even better..."Eat the Rich"

This would truly suck. If it ain't freaking broke why fix it. Knowing Bay the plot will go something like this.
A big asteroid is headed for earth
Leather face has to get his crazy ass family to go stop it
Big Explosions
Pointless Tear jerking scene
Big Explosions
WOW I PAYED 8 DOLLARS FOR THIS.
If this is true I just hope that they don't remake Dawn. Thats when I am holding up in my room with all my dvds and awaiting the Apocolypse. Peace
