Toughest & Coolest fictional movie characters...

Who do you think is the toughest and/or coolest movie character?

My choice Russell Crowe as General Maximus in Gladiator. Just for the scene when he wins the first gladiator fight in Rome. And announces who he is to the emporer and then the gladiators chanting his name when he goes back below. Also, the other gladiators surrounding him like when he was a general.

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Gotta cast my vote for Vasques (Jenette Goldstein), the tough talking smart-gun operator in Aliens. Takes point on the operation, and even beat an alien in close combat. (In the air duct pinning the beast to the wall with her boot and blowing his brains out point blank) She impressed me even more than Ripley, who would go on any short list of tough characters.

Gotta add another lady to the sweepstakes: Sarah Connor in Terminator 2:Judgement Day. Hard as nails, takes no prisoners.

I've gotta go with Ripley.

How about John Mclane. Yippee-ki-yay...you know the rest.

Uma Thurman's character in "Kill Bill' is one tough cookie. But I still would have to go with Ripley as the biggest, badest, woman.

As for guys, John Mclane is way up there in the bad to the bone group and I have to give a nod to "Hellboy". He takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.

Is it fair to compare a fantasy character to a "real" character like John Mclane. Of course, I'm laughing as I write this. John Mclane is real...yeah...right!

How about Curly, from City Slickers, he scared me.

Those guys and gals are all weak sauce.

This is one of those questions that has a right answer, and a lot of wrong answers.

Beat this:

Feel free to skip ahead to 6:45.

Chingachgook

Game, set, and match.

You know the winner will come from a Michael Mann movie!

Yea, I thought Uma Thurman in Kill Bill was pretty bad ass. Clint Eastwood in his heyday was not one to be messed with and I would say Marlon Brando in the Godfather.
