I Am Legend Prequel

Looks like both Will Smith and Francis Lawrence (who directed the first) are back and it that it will follow the days leading up to the end of the world. Now, I was a fan of the first film.. I liked it a lot. I don't know if this is such a good idea unless they use a lot more ideas from the book.

I Will Be Legend

Smith could also be planning a sequel to last summer's hit "Hancock". Smith is looking at taking home more than $50 million combined in salary for the prequel and the sequel. I'm a fan of the first "I Am Legend", although I do prefer the original ending featured on the DVD than the theatrical cut. I'm excited to see the prequel.

Funny enough, if they had gone along with that original ending we might have received a more logical sequel in which maybe Neville REALLY would've turned out to be the last man on earth.

Happy Birthday to Will Smith.

Im all for that. I liked the recent film a lot. I missed it at the cinema so I've only seen the ending from the DVD. I liked it just fine.

Re: I Am Legend Prequel

How about a sequel revolving around that cool survivor community at the end?

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Wouldn't that seem a lot like 28 Days or even 28 Weeks Later?

So what do they call this one? "I Am Rumor"?

I can't imagine this being a story worth telling. It'd have to be pretty fabulous for me to have any interest in it.

Re: I Am Legend Prequel

This has the potential to be very good since the first hour of I Am Legend is eons better than the last 30 min.
A prequel leading up to Neville driving around in his Mustang would suit me just fine.

Re: I Am Legend Prequel

If it's post-helicopter disaster and pre-Mustang, that would be cool. I want more of survival in an empty city. If people are just beginning to die and it's not even known that it's going to be a world clearing event as Neville works to stop it, that's not so interesting to me.
