Pls ID movie
Vietnam war flick, 70s or 80s, no later. Squad (or maybe just a group) of 3 or 4 guys trekking thru the jungle. Maybe on a mission or just survivors of a larger unit (yeah, I think they were more like trying to get home or something.) I am pretty sure they all die by the end. One of the guys has a red headband (I think), and he may have been the last one to die, in a compound that looks like a school (in the jungle...) Maybe hit or run over by a car in the final assault.
At the end of the film, a freeze frame or picture morphs into a statue reminiscent of the Iwo Jima one. Presumably, a real memorial.
