Voiceover King Don LaFontaine dead at 68

"In a world where...."

Passing away due to complications from a collapsed lung, LaFontaine was 68. The voice of over 5000 movie trailers and some 350,000 commercials. The voiceover king to a generation of moviegoers.

Rest in peace, Don.

The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

I always get a kick out of the 5 guys in a limo video. Movie trailers won't be the same without DLF.

Just think: Without Don, the first 10 minutes of your movie theater experience will never be the same.

I remember when he did the voiceover for Halloween 4 The Return of Michael Myers back in 1988, hearing him say "Michael Myers" was more entertaining than Rob Zombie's entire movie lol.

RIP, Don.
