"12 Angry Men" (1957) - other actors considered/rejected/refused for roles?
I have never seen the TV (or was it Broadway?) version of 12 Angry Men that came prior to the 1957 film, but I know that only two actors from it reprised their roles for the film, and one of them wasn't Edward Arnold. Aw-w. That is a shame, considering he is a very fine actor, and would have brought a lot to the film version.
I've checked other web sites, hoping to find out more about the casting decisions for the movie, but couldn't find any. I wonder how they decided who would be in the film, which actors were asked but declined, which actors auditioned but were rejected...
oh, and I think Ernest Borgnine would have been great in it, too.
