I haven't read the whole thing (yet) but I thought fans of the film might be interested:

The truth about "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly"

Family and friends of Jean-Dominique Bauby speak out about how Julian Schnabel's Oscar-nominated film honors and defames Bauby's real story.

EDIT: I read it, interesting stuff. We've all heard stories of relatives not pleased with the portrayal of one of theirs (typically long dead) in movies, but I think it's pretty rare for a story this recent.

in spite of any of that, this is a great movie.
it comes out on dvd on the 29th.

i just watched it and couldnt turn it off.
i was only going to watch about a half hour and go to bed but all of a sudden it was nearly the end of the film.

between this and the review thread only 4 replies.

i hope we get an official HTF review.

also that link in Holadem's post doesn't work.
I wonder what it said.

It still works, but you have to click on the "Enter Salon" link at the upper right to skip past the ad.

I believe there's an HTF review of the DVD currently in progress.
