Re: M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening

I hope this is good!

I keep going to see his movies for some reason. Even after his last 2 stinkers. I thought the Lady in the water was dreadful. I didn't like the Village at all.

I really enjoyed Signs and The Sixth Sense, so I guess I kind of hope his next movie will be as good as those. I just hope its not 3 stinkers in a row!

Re: M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening

It's a nice looking poster - but the tagline is just awful. A painful attempt to call back his previous biggest films that really has no connection to the film being promoted.

AFI Top 100 lists:
100 Movies, 100 Thrills - Completed
100 Laughs - 24 to go - last seen: The Freshman
100 Passions - 39 to go - last seen: Breakfast At Tiffany's
100 Heroes & Villains - 10 to go - last seen: Tom Powers in The Public Enemy
100 Songs - 45 to go - last seen: "Moon River" from Breakfast At Tiffany's
100 Quotes - 19 to go - last seen: "Toga! Toga!" in Animal House
100 Years of Film Scores - 3 to go - last seen: How the West Was Won

TOTAL (458 movies) - 145 to go - My AFI movie list here.

James Cameron is directing Avatar.

The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

Re: M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" and James Cameron's "Avatar" are two completely different projects and have nothing to do with each other.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I've actually quite enjoyed all of M. Knight's projects since 6th Sense. Looking forward to this one!

I'm with you Dave. I find MNS's films unique and entertaining.

I bet The Pixies tune (The Happening) will be played in the previews or in the movie. The song is about an aliens encouter in Nevada.
