The Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D

Did anyone see this last year in 3D? I want to go see it this year because I heard they're re-releasing it again starting on Oct. 19. I think it's a perfect movie to make 3D...so if anyone saw it, let me know!

I saw it in 3-D last year. The 3-D effect worked well.

I saw it last year as well. Don't expect any dramatic difference from the 2D version; very few shots jump out at you. Mostly the 3D is used to add depth to the picture, and on that level it works incredibly well. I sort of felt like I was inside the movie at times.

It sounds like it's a pretty fun experience to watch it in 3D, and I'm definitely going to grab a group of my friends who like it as much as me to go see it. Are you guys going to see it again this year? I think it would make a for a fun Halloween tradition for me.

I saw it last year in 3-D. It was my first time seeing it. I definitely recommend it, especially if you haven't seen it yet.

I've seen the original movie and I just love it...Tim Burton is one of my heroes. Thanks so much for the 3D recommendations, I'm really excited now to go out and see it on Halloween night.

I saw it last year and wasn't impressed. Everything looked too grey and even Zero's nose was very muted to me. I know its a darker-toned movie, but what colors there are seem more vibrant on my DVD (like the patchwork in Sally's dress) compared to the 3D version. Maybe I saw a bad screening of it though. Still a great movie, but I'd rather have seen it theatrically without the 3D layering since I didn't feel it added anything but gimmick.

That's inherent in 3D projection. Polarized glasses by definition only let in the light angled in a certain direction; that's how the 3D effect is created. However, the loss of all the other light shooting off in other directions decreases the vibrancy. In this case, I don't think it was a deal breaker by any means.

Wow, a science lesson and a movie recommendation! I think I'll still go see it if you say it's not a deal breaker, nothing could really ruin this movie for me as it's one of my favorites.
