*** Official SUPERBAD Review Thread
I caught this last night at a preview screening. Very funny. If you're a fan of Judd Apatow comedies (40 year old virgin, Knocked Up, etc.) you'll like this one. Its sort of Judd Apatow meets John Hughes. The age restricted trailer on the official site is a good look at the movie - check it out.
There was a Q&A afterwards with Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Bill Hader and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Lots of Arrested Development questions directed to Michael (will the series be back, will there be a movie, etc) to which the answer was no.

Saw this last night - very very funny. Haven't heard an audience roar like that in a long time. Great cast; Rogen is great as a cop having too much fun on the job.
Probably the best comedy of the summer.

Re: *** Official SUPERBAD Review Thread
Decent. Funny. Not nearly as funny as the pre-release hype and reviews had led me to believe. But I liked it alright.

Re: *** Official SUPERBAD Review Thread
I thought this was way better than Knocked Up, but ultimately that would probably be a toss up based on the demographic of the viewer (i.e., I don't have kids ). It is, however, with out a doubt the single best teen coming-of-age flick in the last 20 years.

Re: *** Official SUPERBAD Review Thread
I thought this movie was hi-lariously funny in more spots than not. I was slapping my knee at times (hey wait, is that a euphemism?) from laughing. Michael Cera (Evan) is a really good, young, comedic straight man, while Jonah Hill (Seth) is "out there" with manic-ness. Christopher Mintz-Plasse as McLovin was spot-on for most of the film. I enjoyed the film for what it was, a foul-mouth teen romp with heart. Seth Rogen and Bill Hader also provide was good laughs as the cops that find their way into McLovin's night with his homey's (Evan and Seth).
I give it 3.75 stars, or a grade of A-.

Re: *** Official SUPERBAD Review Thread
I've been inner hyping this movie to myself for the last 4 months ever since I first saw the theatrical trailer on HDNet. And it blew my expectations out of the water big time.
Favorite parts (that I can remember between all the laughing) were:
I was laughing so hard at this movie that I know I missed some jokes or lines. And our theater, as well, had many times when we were clapping and cheering at scenes. The interesting part is, some of the jokes or character reactions you knew beforehand because it is what you wanted them to do, and once they actually did it, it made it even funnier. This is especially true with Officer Slater and Michael attitude towards McLovin.
This movie is definitely not for everyone. This is a very vulgar comedy and should have been rated R, but here in Canada it was rated 14A. Maybe 16 year old should be able to see this movie, but 14 is pushing it...this is very vulgar. But I'm 29 years old and I Mc love it.
(And Fogel is officially McLovin...great character, great comedic acting, and overall hilarious performance from Christopher Mintz-Plasse)

Re: *** Official SUPERBAD Review Thread
I am McLovin!
He's the new Spicoli. This movie was both hilarious AND smart.
The cops/McLovin ended up being much funnier than I had suspected. The only gripe I have is that I sort of wished Seth/Evan had been through a couple 'adventures' rather than just the one party from hell.

Re: *** Official SUPERBAD Review Thread
I was looking forward to this film above all others this summer. Caught it last night in a packed house. I liked it a lot but I think my expectations were too high. I laughed a lot and enjoyed the hell out of it. I think with another viewing, I'll love it.
McLovin was the biggest surprise -- total scene stealer. I could have used less cops and more Seth & Evan. One of the best teen comedies in a long while.
The best thing about it was it avoided many of the pitfalls of most teen-comedies of late. Funny, smart and poignant.
A- (for now)
I remember the immortal words of Socrates who said "I drank what?"
