10,000 B.C.
I had heard about Roland Emmerich's take on Earth's pre-history a long time ago, and almost forgot about it. Then today this trailer shows up online: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809724938/video/3317950/.
Knowing what Emmerich's film's are like, I'm not expecting any deep characterizations or emotions, but judging from the trailer, we'll be treated to many epic shots of warring tribes amidst saber-tooth tigers, wooly mammoths, and various other creatures.
I have to say that it does look cool, but be prepared for disappointment.

Re: 10,000 B.C.
haha, what a silly idea for a movie. I'm sure it will suck, and I'm sure I'll go see it anyway and probably enjoy it.
But what in the hell is Omar Sharif doing in a movie like that?

Looks good. Looks like Apocalypto with "better" effects.

Re: 10,000 B.C.
Hmm, sounds like Apocalytpo minus the character development. I can't access the trailer; are the hominids going to be speaking english?
Willing to give it a chance,
Nathan
EDIT: Saw trailer. Those visuals are fantastic. Hopefully this will be better than any of his previous work.
Body of Lies / Ridley Scott / Leo DiCaprio / Russell Crowe / Autumn '08

Nice effects, but I'm not overly enthused.

Re: 10,000 B.C.
The way the trailer started with a view from orbit and the lights going off around the world. I thought it was about some post-apocalyptic world...Until I saw mammoths and sabertooth tigers.
Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.
