Agreed. They also offer Digital Projection.

I've been there. To me, it's like they turned off their subs. Just saw Die Hard there (cause my friend wanted to go to that particular theater) and it had no bass whatsoever.

Are theaters lowering the levels of their subwoofers because of the loudness complaints I have heard of?

I watched Die Hard and the Transformers at their Hollywood Cinema theaters and the sound was just great. When I'm in the Detroit Metro area, I usually watch some films at the AMC 30 in Sterling Heights, especially due to their IMAX theater there.
