Uma Thurman had expressed an interest in being cast as Greta Garbo in a film about Garbo.

I've always thought that Susan Sarandon could play the post-Hollywood Garbo, based after seeing this photo- it reminds me of the photo sessions GG had with Cecil Beaton in '46!

Sarandon as Garbo?? i never thought about her.
I don´t know Sarandon that well.I have toc heck her pics.

As the matter of fact, it was Marlene Dietrich who Uma wanted to play in a biopic directed by the late Louis Malle back in the 90's. Unfortunately Malle passed away before it could be made.

Marlene too.yes.that was in the 90s, i think.
There was already talk about her doing Garbo in the mid 90s too.
