The Number 23 - quick review

3-word review: A Convoluted Mess.

This film just misses the mark on pretty much every thriller cliche, and left me with some 2-dimensional characters that failed to elicit any empathy or interest from me.

Schumacher seems to be aping Tony Scott in small doses, and that's not a good thing.

I give it 1.75 stars, or a grade of C-.

I have a free ticket to this (from a DVD) and I don't think that even that will get me to go see this.

Re: The Number 23 - quick review

Best Buy had a free ticket to Number 23 with their copies of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel early in January.

Yeah, I'm sure that it makes no sense to buy that lousy movie and yet not have any interest in seeing Number 23 for free but I'm a man of many contradictions.

Dang it.. I was hoping this one wouldn't be a stinker.. I was really looking forward to this one. A chance to see the comic man do something a little different...

Oh well I will wait for it to hit dvd and rent it....

If you don't want it, send me the ticket - I'll see anything!

Sorry, I gave it to my sister already. I haven't called her to see what she thought of it though.

saw it last night. Left the theater not really feeling anything, it was just that un memorable. Not overly good but not horribly bad either. Maybe worth a rent.

Well what happens when one of your older brothers invites you to a movie since his wife is kicking him out of the house for her ladies Bunko night???

We are forced to see The Number 23......No, not forced but I wanted to see something else but in the spirit of brotherhood I went along.

Not a lousy movie but not good. And I love Jim Carrey.

Not a really interesting story, average acting, some stupid stuff too, and in some ways a rip-off of a MUCH better film in A History Of Violence.

Oh well, the popcorn was delicious.

5/10.
