Re: Superman Returns Sequel discussion thread

Bryan Singer I can do without (as long as they don't replace him McG or Tim Burton ) but Routh HAS to come back. We already bought him as Superman and IMO, it'd be a mistake to try to start all over again with someone else.

Re: Superman Returns Sequel discussion thread

WB still has Routh under contract (for two more flicks) and I'm pretty sure that he'll be coming back for the next movie. Whoever WB casts as Supes for the JL flick will (apparently) only be playing the part in that series of films. The same will be the case of the actor who is cast as Batman. WB is going to hold onto Bale for the "main" series of films as long as they can.

I do think WB will change directors though. Singer will be going to another project after finishing "Valkyrie" and I think WB wants 'The Man of Steel' to start shooting either the end of this year or early in '09 (to make a 2010 release date).

We should know something definitive soon, probably when WB (finally) announces who they cast in the JL feature.

Just as long as they directly continue the current storyline.
I for one can't wait to see the further adventures of Jason, the bastard son of Krypton.

Re: Superman Returns Sequel discussion thread

Superman Returns was a nice ending to the Donner trilogy (1,2 & SR). Now, lets do a reboot with no kid, Lex as corporate raider and Superman in a suit that is red, yellow & blue.

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Huh? Wasn't Superman in a red, yellow, and blue suit in SR?

It wasn't really red Matthew, it was more like maroon or something.

Re: Superman Returns Sequel discussion thread

The main thing the next Superman movie needs a new villain. I thought that Kevin Spacey did a fine job as Lex Luthor but it's time for a villain that could actually defeat Superman, Darkseid maybe?
