School for Scroundrels - quick review

This film squanders a half-decent premise (loser looking for help with self-confidence) and turns into a not-too-funny game of oneupsmanship that feels neither plausible or convincing. It feels like a film with no re-writes at all, they just filmed the first draft and consequently it falls flat for most of its running time.

I give it 1.75 stars or a grade of C-.

Another case of all the truly funny bits being shown on the TV ads?

You're assuming there ARE truly funny bits. There are not. There are a few moderately funny bits. My review/grade is right in line with Patrick's - and that includes half a star simply because I think Jacinda Barrett is cute and I enjoy looking at her.

Those who are not similarly enamoured should think twice - no, thrice - before dropping even a rental fee on this one.

Jacinda Barrett looks really cute with the front bangs (typically you see a lot of forehead in her hairstyles in the movies, but not this one).
