Re: Mako passes away
I'll always remember him as Yoshida-san in Rising Sun and the little bitty part he played on Frasier as Niles' literary agent, Sam Tanaka.
RIP, Mako, you were a brilliant character actor.

Re: Mako passes away
I would also like to add a heartfelt RIP to a terrific actor.
I loved him as Akiro the Wizard in the Conan series, especially the scene where he meets Conan. He is yelling about the demons he is going to raise; the Governator just cracks up, then so does Akiro.
He was also terrific in the Rainbow Bridge episode of MASH, as the Chinese doctor supervising the exchange of allied wounded for Chinese wounded.
Excellent actor, he will be missed.

Re: Mako passes away
Very sad news......Mako was one of those actors that I saw many times on film and TV as I grew up - so much so that he was like an old friend.
Rest in peace.
