Film Budget Breakdown - The Village

This is a pretty interesting scan at The Smoking Gun. It is the entire budget breakdown for M. Nights movie "The Village". 79 pages of it. Showing everything from the Director's fee, to cab fares.

I could make a couple movies off of the money spent on the 'extras casting process' alone.

Re: Film Budget Breakdown - The Village

A very in control budget for an A list picture, balanced pretty well between all departments. Set Construction was high, but it was an exterior intensive film. fascinating, as always to see how big a bite above the line takes out of a film. Bryce Dallas Howard definitely got reamed by it being her first movie in comparison to the other cast in the high script numbers.

Taking a look at A list film rates I think I'll stick with the editing track and only grip and gaff when I'm really needed for buddies of mine.
