Is this good news or bad? Meaning that is this guy a good actor?

He was pretty good in Street Kings. Same for Smokin' Aces.

Re: Terminator 4

Here's my take. Nothing is ever going to top the first two Cameron films and I'm pretty sure everyone can at least agree on that one point. As for T3, I thought it was a pretty good flick. It certainly wasn't in the same league as the first two, but it was entertaining enough IMHO. As Travis said, however, it seemed like a PG-13 movie and having already seen a somewhat "watered down" Terminator movie means I'll already be prepared for another one. I was completely pissed off when I found out Live Free or Die Hard was going to be PG-13, but after I saw it I really didn't care one bit. It seemed just like the other Die Hard movies only without the F-bombs(which are now there in the unrated DVD anyway). As for T4, as long as Christian Bale is attached I'll have some faith in the project. I'm still not sure about McG as the director(has that guy done ANYTHING in the past 6-7 years?), but Bale is money in the bank IMHO so hopefully it will turn out good. Time will tell.

Um, what about a little something called Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle?

Just checking the IMDB, he directed We Are Marshall which I've never seen but I think it got decent enough reviews. Although it seems like every movie with dead or injured sports players always gets decent reviews whether it's actually good or not.

We Are Marshall wasn't too bad. The McG of Charlie's Angels was throttled back a bit. It's worth a rental.

The man needs to seriously do something about his name, everytime I hear the word 'McG' I immediately think of some young college punk on spring break getting wasted and his friends daring him to try and make movies.

His name instills absolutely no respect in me at all.

Re: Terminator 4

I'd read rumours that this had been cancelled - glad that they where incorrect as I am quite excited at the prospect of Christian Bale in the role of John Connor.

Hopefully McG will be able to present the same feeling of the future war as it was presented in both the original Terminator and T2 - the "flash forwards" in T3 just felt off, they where to shiny looking and where missing the "grit".

Not to mention Nick Stahl looked ridiculous in the old age make-up, he looked like a child lol.

Re: Terminator 4

James Cameron knows how to shoot an interesting action sequence - that's why the future war sequences are so damn interesting both in the visual and excitement departments. In comparison the future war as shown in T3 comes off as a bit of a damp squib.

T4 should be like the Terminator version of Saving Private Ryan...
