Red Tails--new movie from George Lucas

I just read this link:

Dark Horizons link

where Rick McCallum says that Lucas is finishing the Red Tails script. McCallum also says the movie will shoot next year.

I wonder if Lucas will be directing?

I am certainly interested in the subject matter. Well worth keeping tabs on.

Lucas was a great genre filmmaker before Star Wars consumed him. It'd be exciting to see him get back to that.

I am also curious to see what Lucas can do post-Star Wars. It's easy for me to bash the prequels, but some of that is laced with nostalgia memories. I'm eager to see his new output.

I love Lucas's movies (even those terrible Star Wars pictures that no one likes) and I can't wait to see him do some different stuff.

Wasn't "Red Tails" a code-name he put on a bunch of projects for a while?

it will probably be the first world war two film to not feature any models, sets, actual surviving planes or replicas.

Heck it may not even have actors.
