Even though she won the Oscar for a serious role (in Reds), it was her comic performances I'll always remember. She could be extravagantly silly and yet somehow real. Personal favorites includes Bye Bye, Birdie ("You heard him! You're a witness!!"), The Money Pit and Johnny Dangerously.

My favorite: I always loved the TV-movie "The Gathering" (and "The Gathering Part II" to a lesser degree), and I still hold out hope for an eventual DVD release...a set with both would be very nice.

Most recently watched: "Lonelyhearts" on TCM just a couple weeks ago...

We're losing a lot of great artists lately.

It does, but Wilford Brimley was much younger than the other seniors in the cast. Hume Cronyn, Don Ameche and Jack Gilford were more than old enough to be Brimley's father.
