| That was a bad call but it was made by the highers-up, not the artists behind the movie. All things considered, David Fincher delivered a pretty damn good movie, even if he wouldn't admit it himself. You would think that Cameron would be able to appreciate the film's merits as opposed to getting hung up on little fanboy bitch-points but I guess he's still upset that his characters were killed. It's funny, he didn't seem to mind that Mostow killed Sarah Connor off in "Terminator 3", but maybe he resents that character for obvious personal reasons. |
or ... Maybe he just didnt like Aline 3.

Yeah, and my whole point is that he obviously dislikes "Alien3" for a petty reason. "Alien3" has it's problems but unlike "AvP" it doesn't look like it was made by some 14-year-old who found $50 million.
Don't you ever, EVER compare me to "Family Guy," you hear me Kyle? Compare me to "Family Guy" again and so help me, I will kill you where you stand!
Do you have any idea what it's like? Everywhere I go: "Hey Cartman you must like 'Family Guy,' right?" "Hey, your sense of humor reminds me of 'Family Guy' Cartman!" I AM NOTHING LIKE FAMILY GUY! WHEN I MAKE JOKES THEY ARE INHERENT TO A STORY! DEEP SITUATIONAL AND EMOTIONAL JOKES BASED ON WHAT IS RELEVANT AND HAS A POINT, NOT JUST ONE RANDOM INTERCHANGEABLE JOKE AFTER ANOTHER!

I just dont see how you can assume he's got a petty reason for not liking it.
The film is pretty drab. Different strokes for different folks and all.

Yeah, as opposed to the it's bright, colorful predecessors.

A late quote...

This is alien vs predator, not brokeback mountain.

Okay, step back and just visualize that for a second, an alien and a predator are alone in a tent together...

I wanted to be the first one to kill somebody on the moon."

Whoa! They could even take their cue from "Hell in the Pacific" and "Enemy Mine". An Alien warrior and a Predator warrior fighting each other end up getting stranded on a lone planet. They realize they have to work together in order to survive and escape... but soon strike up a romance as well. You've got action, horror, special effects AND a love story. It could be one of the top money makers.

I think Cameron maybe was more lenient on Mostow on T3 for not having Sarah Connor, because I don't think Linda Hamilton wanted anything to do with it, given the history between Hamilton-Cameron.

Actually Hamilton specifically said she would do the film if Cameron directed, and only if Cameron directed.

Terminator 3" hasn't experienced the universal contempt from moviegoers like "AvP" experienced,
|
Not true. While many here hated AvP, many other movigoers enjoyed AvP so it is far from "universal". I know some here would like to believe that, but that's just wishful thinking.

Well, it's near-universal but it's as close to universal as any movie I know of.
